Hooksett Public Informational Meeting
Main St. Bridge Over Riverside St., Merrimack River and Railroad

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces a combined Public Officials/Public Informational Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in Hooksett to discuss a proposed bridge rehabilitation project.

This project involves bridge preservation/rehabilitation work on Main Street over Riverside Street, Merrimack River and B&M Railroad. Work includes replacement of the bridge deck pavement and membrane, deck repairs, replacement of expansion joints, adding protective screening and snow fence where needed, and replacement of approach rail end terminal units on north side of the bridge. There is potential for substantial traffic impacts.

The March 12 meeting will be at 6:30 PM as part of the Town Councilors Meeting at the Hooksett Town Hall, 35 Main Street, 1st Floor Room 201 in Hooksett, New Hampshire.

The purpose of this meeting is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed project, and to solicit public input in order to ensure that project decisions meet public transportation needs, community goals, and protect and enhance the environment. The NHDOT assures that this project will be administered according to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statutes to ensure nondiscrimination.
