Draping Aerial Photos over Terrain

  • Check that the Raster Manager's drape material check box is checked for each raster.
    raster manager dialog box
  • Use the View Attributes box to set the view's Display Style to Smooth with Shadows, then refresh.
  • You must turn on the display of your triangles. Select the Terrain model and hover the mouse over it until the context menu appears. Select Properties on the context sensitive pop up menu. Turn on the Triangles.
  • If your aerial is not now draped, check to see what level the triangles are in by selecting them and hovering. They should be in the Existing Ground level. Check the level manager's material setting for that level. It should be set to DcDrape. If it is not click in the material column for the level your triangles are in to set the material to DcDrape.
