Welcome to the New Hampshire Board of Tax & Land Appeals

The Board's goals are to provide an alternative forum to the superior court in tax cases that is timely, fair, inexpensive, and accessible to the taxpayers and property owners. The Board has responsibility, parallel to the superior court to hear appeals of all local and state taxes.

The Board has responsibility for:

BTLA UPDATE FOR COVID-19

The office remains open and staff is available by telephone at (603) 271-2578 or via email at clerk@btla.nh.gov. If you need to file anything with our office, we ask that you please use the drop box to the right of the interior door of the building. This box is checked daily.

All hearings will be held remotely via Cisco Webex until further notice. If you are interested in accessing a hearing, please call the board's office prior to the start of the hearing at (603) 271-2578. If confidential information is going to be discussed during the hearing, you will not be able to attend that portion of the hearing. The host will remove you from the hearing and return you to it when the confidential session ends. You do not need to take any action.
