Mission Statement

"Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of New Hampshire’s criminal justice agencies and the judiciary through the capture of data at it’s source, to facilitate the distribution of criminal justice data electronically to authorized sources, and to provide individual case and statistical queries electronically."

Project Origin

In June of 2001, the State of New Hampshire initiated a formal project to create an automated criminal justice information system integrating the computer systems and data of a variety of State, County and Municipal law enforcement entities. J-ONE is the project acronym and it stands for "Justice - One Network Environment".

Project Management

The project is managed by the Governor’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) with guidance from leaders who were members of a former criminal justice organization called the Criminal Justice Information Network (CJIS). OIT moderates J-ONE Steering Committee meetings to accomplish project goals. The Steering Committee is the governing body of the project and is well represented by State Legislative, Executive and Judicial members as well as local law enforcement representatives.

Law enforcement entities interested in participating in the J-ONE information exchange system may apply by completing an application located on this Web site.
