No Wake Speed Imposed On Silver Lake

GILFORD, NH – The New Hampshire Marine Patrol has imposed a "No Wake" speed limit on Silver Lake, located in the towns of Belmont and Tilton.

The "No Wake" speed is required by statute whenever the lake level reaches or exceeds 467 feet above sea level. Silver Lake has exceeded that level due to recent heavy rains.

The restriction was imposed immediately. No other speed limits related to high water levels are currently in effect in the state.

Boaters with questions should contact Capt. Mark Gallagher of the NH Marine Patrol at 603-293-2037.
