State Police Auxiliary Troopers are part-time sworn Troopers assigned throughout the state. These committed men and women assist Division members in public relation events, communications, patrol, traffic control, and select investigations.
The minimum qualifications to become an Auxiliary Trooper are the same minimum qualifications to become a Probationary Trooper. The Auxiliary Troopers must also meet the same annual training requirements as full-time Troopers.
Auxiliary Troopers are required to volunteer 16 hours each month, which is usually accomplished by patrolling with a Trooper, and attending firearms and in-service training.
