Sobriety Checkpoint Results - Portsmouth
On Friday, June 22, 2012 the New Hampshire State Police Troop A, conducted a sobriety checkpoint on the Spaulding Turnpike in the city of Portsmouth. During the checkpoint, Troopers screened a total of 204 vehicles. As a result, there were 2 individuals arrested; one was charged with Aggravated DWI and Disobeying A Police Officer, and another was charged with DWI. Two other subjects were taken into Protective Custody as well. All subjects arrested are scheduled for arraignment in the Portsmouth District Court.
The New Hampshire State Police is committed to using the Sobriety Checkpoint as a tool to deter, detect, and apprehend the impaired driver.
