The New Hampshire State Police, Massachusetts State Police, and the Maine State Police will be conducting a Joint Press Conference on:
Monday July 2, 2012 at 10:00 AM
at Hilton Park in Dover, off of the Spaulding Turnpike northbound.
The purpose of this Press Conference will be to discuss and advise the public of traffic operations that will be ongoing over the 4th of July week and throughout the summer season. This will include high visibility patrols on Routes 3, I-93, I-95, and Route 16 in New Hampshire; Routes I-495, I-93, and I-95 in Massachusetts; and I-95 in Maine.
Sobriety checkpoints within New Hampshire and Massachusetts will be also be discussed.
The operation will run throughout the summer, looking for Aggressive and Impaired Drivers with a major focus on reducing dangerous speeds and other moving violations.
The New Hampshire State Police will be adding patrols, using LASER, RADAR, Motorcycles, Aircraft, as well as conventional patrols. The Massachusetts and Maine State Police agencies will use all of their tools and resources in this effort to include a fleet of unmarked vehicles.
Several of these vehicles will be on display, to include: motorcycles, the Massachusetts State Police Mobile DWI Testing Unit, and the New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol will also be on site.
