Interstate 95 Enhanced Enforcement Operations

On Thursday, July 3, 2008, at 10:00 AM, the New Hampshire State Police, Troop A, will host a Press Conference at the Seabrook Rest Area, on Interstate 95, northbound, in Seabrook, NH.

The Press Conference will highlight cooperative enforcement strategies to be implemented by the Massachusetts State Police, the New Hampshire State Police, and the Maine State Police, along the Interstate 95 corridor, beginning on the July 4th weekend and continuing throughout the summer months.

The Troop Commanders from each agency will discuss the enhanced enforcement operations planned, including high-visibility patrols, adding extra patrol units specifically geared toward DWI enforcement, the utilization of Laser and Radar for speed enforcement, as well as the use of motorcycle and aircraft units to monitor traffic.

The cooperative effort will begin this weekend, around the clock, particularly targeting impaired and aggressive drivers, with the aim of reducing speeding and limiting traffic crashes.
