The Public Relations Unit is responsible for the statewide coordination of all public presentations, lectures, seminars, informational campaigns and demonstrations presented by State Police personnel. These programs provide valuable information and insight into Division activities and preparedness.
The Unit receives a variety of requests for services from the public. Such requests include presentations on safety, seatbelt use, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, forensics as well as canine demonstrations, color guard functions, parades and a myriad of other requests.
In 2007, there were 213 public relations requests.
- Is there a charge for public presentations?
No, we do not charge a fee.
- What is the procedure for getting a speaker to come to an event?
All public relations requests must be submitted in writing with at least 30 days notice, but not more than 60 days.
