On January 1, 2005, the New Hampshire Hospital/State Office Park South (NHH/SOPS) Campus Police force transferred to the Department of Safety from the Department of Health and Human Services.

Members of this security unit provide police coverage to NHH/SOPS through the enforcement of federal, state, and local laws, and internal policies and procedures. Additionally, personnel provide general and specialized services to customers by providing a safe and secure environment that allows patients/residents, employees, volunteers, and visitors to deliver and receive quality services.
