75th anniversaryNEW HAMPSHIRE STATE POLICE 75TH ANNIVERSARY GALA

The New Hampshire State Police celebrated its 75th Anniversary, officially marked on July 1, 2012.  The Benevolent Association hosted a Gala Event at the Grappone Conference Center at the Courtyard by Marriott in Concord, New Hampshire on October 13, 2012.  The Gala Event included Ceremonial Participants and Distinguished Guests, Welcome (Cheryl Janelle, President – Benevolent Association), Master of Ceremonies (Scott Spradling), Keynote Speaker (Terry O'Reilly), Performance of the National Anthem, Invocation (Reverend Monsignor Anthony Frontiero) and Benediction (Reverend Shirley Marcroft, Chaplain), Fallen Trooper Memorials, Table of Honor (Retired Trooper Cathy McHugh, Benevolent Association Treasurer) and Ceremonial Cake Cutting and much more.  The Benevolent Association was supported by the 75th Anniversary Committee, the New Hampshire Troopers Association, the New Hampshire Retired State Troopers Association and many other State Police members to make this a memorable occasion.

Also, an Open House Expo was held at State Police Headquarters during the day time for the general public in which the specialty units demonstrated their tactical maneuvers and displayed their equipment.

Both events culminated after over a year of planning.  Committees set up under the 75th Anniversary Master Committee were the Benevolent 75th Anniversary Committee, Decorating/Cake Committee, Entertainment, Ceremonial, Fundraising, Memorabilia, 75th Anniversary DVD, 75th Anniversary Yearbook, the Commemorative Weapon, the 75th Anniversary Patch and others.

A couple of days before the Gala, the television show, Chronicle on WMUR Channel 9, did a nice job featuring the State Police and its history throughout the years to where we are today.

While many things have changed over the years, the Mission has always remained the same:

Dedicated to providing the highest degree of law enforcement service throughout the State of New Hampshire while maintaining the traditions of fairness, professionalism and integrity.
