Turner’s Cottages, LLC, Newfound Lake,  Bristol,  NH Pursuant to RSA 270:67, RSA 270:68 and Administrative Rule Saf-C 408, a petition was received December 10, 2007 requesting an addition to an existing Congregate Mooring Field.  C. N. Duclos conducted a public hearing on March 5, 2008 at the James Hayes Safety Building, Concord, NH.  Recommended approval.  Approved by Governor and Council on April 23, 2008 (agenda item #84).

Ossipee Bluffs Association, Lake Ossipee,  Ossipee,  NH Pursuant to RSA 270:67, RSA 270:68 and Administrative Rule Saf-C 408, The Department of Safety received a petition from an abutter to the renewal applicant in relation to a number of concerns for Congregate Mooring Field Permit #071861.  Mr. C. N. Duclos conducted a public hearing on May 21, 2008 at the James Hayes Safety Building, Concord, NH.  The scope of the hearing was to allow and consider public comment on the abutters challenge (supra).  The abutter, by their attorney, elected to withdraw the objection and did not appear for the public hearing.  The clear language of the attorney’s letter in behalf of the abutter sustains the withdrawal of the abutter’s objections.  The withdrawal abandoned the abutter’s protest.  Recommended approval.  Approved by Governor and Council on June 4, 2008 (agenda item #158).

Hot Hole Pond,  Loudon and Concord, NH Pursuant to  RSA 270:12, and Administrative Rule Saf-C 409, a petition was received dated November 28, 2007 and returned as it did not meet the lawful requirements; a revised petition was accepted dated May 5, 2008 requesting the establishment of a ban of all petroleum powered boats on Hot Hole Pond.  C. N. Duclos, Administrator conducted a public hearing on June 16, 2008 at the Town Hall in Loudon, New Hampshire.  Commissioner Barthelmes granted the petition July 15, 2008

Johnson Cove, Lake Winnipesaukee, Wolfeboro, NH Pursuant to RSA 270:12, RSA 270:43 and Administrative Rule Saf-C 407, Saf-C 409, a petition was received requesting the establishment of a No Rafting Zone in Johnson Cove in Lake Winnipesaukee.  C. N. Duclos, Administrator, Bureau of Hearings conducted a public hearing on June 23, 2008 at the Division of Safety Services, Gilford, NH.  Commissioner Barthelmes denied the petition on July 15, 2008.

Long Pond,  Lempster,  NH Pursuant to RSA 270:12, and Administrative Rule Saf-C 409, a petition was received dated August 21, 2007 requesting amending Saf-C 402.44, the present restriction of hours for waterskiing and requesting an expansion of the hours for waterskiing on Long Pond from 1:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 (noon) - 4:00 p.m.  Curtis N. Duclos, Administrator, Bureau of Hearings conducted a public hearing on June 24, 2008 at the Lempster Town Office in Lempster, New Hampshire.  Commissioner Barthelmes denied the petition on July 15, 2008.

Barber’s Pole, Tuftonboro,  NH   Pursuant to RSA 270:12, and Administrative Rule Saf-C 409, a petition was received dated June 6, 2008 requesting the establishment of a No Wake Zone.  C. N. Duclos conducted a public hearing on June 30, 2008 at the Tuftonboro Olde Town House.  Commissioner Barthelmes denied the petition on July 30, 2008.

Loon Cove on Lake Monomonac, Rindge,  NH  ~  Pursuant to RSA 270:12, and Administrative Rule Saf-C 409, a petition was received dated June 3, 2008 requesting the establishment of a No Wake Zone.  C. N. Duclos conducted a public hearing on July 1, 2008 at the Rindge Selectmen Office.  Commissioner Barthelmes denied the petition on July 30, 2008
