  1. Lake Ossipee, Freedom - Pursuant to RSA 270:12, and Administrative Rule Saf-C 409, a petition was received dated November 7, 2005 requesting the establishment of a "No Wake Zone". Michael King conducted a public hearing on June 5, 2006 at the Freedom Town Hall. Commissioner Flynn granted the petition June 29, 2006.
  2. Newfound Lake, Hebron - Pursuant to RSA 270:67, RSA 270:68 and Administrative Rule Saf-C 408, a petition was received dated March 27, 2006 requesting an addition to an existing Congregate Mooring Field. Curtis N. Duclos conducted a public hearing on June 6, 2006 at the Hebron Town Office, Hebron, NH. Recommended Approval.

Advent Cove in Lake Winnipesaukee, Meredith - Pursuant to RSA 270:12, RSA 270:43 and Administrative Rule Saf-C 407, Saf-C 409, a petition was received requesting the establishment of a "No Rafting Zone" in Advent Cove. Curtis N. Duclos, Administrator, Bureau of Hearings conducted a public hearing on June 23, 2006 at the Meredith Town Hall Annex, Meredith, New Hampshire. Commissioner Flynn granted the petition with amendments on July 12, 2006.

Lower Beech Pond, Tuftonboro - Pursuant to RSA 270:12, and Administrative Rule Saf-C 409, a petition was received dated December 18, 2005 requesting the establishment of a restriction of boat motor size to ten (10hp) horse power with exception for a larger powered boat for waterskiing certain posted hours for the William Lawrence Camp. Curtis N. Duclos, Administrator, Bureau of Hearings conducted a public hearing on June 30, 2006 at the Tuftonboro Town House in Tuftonboro, New Hampshire. Commissioner Flynn denied the petition on July 13, 2006.

Silver Lake, Belmont and Tilton - Pursuant to RSA 270:12, and Administrative Rule Saf-C 409, a petition was received dated May 16, 2006 requesting the establishment of a "No Wake Zone" to commence automatically when the [water] level [of Silver Lake] exceeds four hundred and sixty-seven (467') feet above sea level as determined by the Department of Environmental Services website and until the [water] level drops to or below four hundred and sixty-seven (467') feet above sea level. Curtis N. Duclos, Administrator conducted a public hearing on July 7, 2006 at the Belmont Meeting House. Commissioner Flynn denied the petition on July 25, 2006

Smith Pond, Washington - Pursuant to RSA 270:12, and Administrative Rule Saf-C 409, a petition was received dated July 11, 2006 requesting the establishment of a ban of all boats powered by gasoline, naphtha, or any petroleum products on Smith Pond. Curtis N. Duclos, Administrator conducted a public hearing on August 11, 2006 at the Town Hall in Washington. Commissioner Flynn Denied the petition August 30, 2006.

Wagon Wheel Condominium Association, Newfound Lake, Bridgewater - Pursuant to RSA 270:67, RSA 270:68 and Administrative Rule Saf-C 408, a petition was received June 29, 2006 requesting an addition to an existing Congregate Mooring Field. Curtis N. Duclos conducted a public hearing on August 15, 2006 at the Bridgewater Town Hall, Bridgewater, NH. Recommended Denial.
  8. Saltmarsh Pond, Gilford - Pursuant to RSA 270:12, and Administrative Rule Saf-C 409, a petition was received dated July 19, 2006 requesting the establishment of a rule that will supersede Saf-C 402.66 and read: "No person shall operate any boat equipped with any motor on Saltmarsh Pond, except an electric motor with a manufacturer’s rating of 55 pounds of thrust or less." Curtis N. Duclos, Administrator conducted a public hearing on August 16, 2006 at the Town Office in Gilford. Commissioner Flynn Granted the petition September 26, 2006.

Wagon Wheel Condominium Association, Newfound Lake, Bridgewater - Pursuant to RSA 270:67, RSA 270:68 and Administrative Rule Saf-C 408, a petition was received June 29, 2006 requesting an addition to an existing Congregate Mooring Field. Curtis N. Duclos conducted a public hearing on August 15, 2006 at the Bridgewater Town Hall, Bridgewater, NH. Recommended Denial.
  10. Lake Winnipesaukee, Laconia, Alton, Center Harbor, Center Tuftonboro, Gilford, Meredith, Moultonborough and Wolfeboro - Pursuant to RSA 270:12, and Administrative Rule Saf-C 409, an amended petition was received dated August 31, 2006. The petition seeks a forty-five mile per hour (45mph) speed limit during the day, and a twenty-five (25mph) mile per hour speed limit at night to be established within Lake Winnipesaukee. Curtis N. Duclos, Administrator, conducted a public hearing on September 25, 2006 at the Meredith Town Office Complex. Commissioner Barthelmes Approved, in part, the petition on April 13, 2007 establishing a Pilot Speed Zone for the 2007 Boating Season.
