Course Name: Driver/Operator-All Vehicle

Career Track: Firefighter, Company Officer, Chief Officer
Hours: 16
Description: Student will learn basic safety requirements, minor preventive maintenance, vehicle check procedures, and basic vehicle operation. The student will also participate in various driving scenarios to demonstrate competency in vehicle operation.
Prerequisites: None
Equipment needed: None

Course Name: Driver/Operator-Pumping Apparatus

Career Track: Firefighter, Company Officer, Chief Officer
Hours: 40
Description: Student will learn basic safety requirements, preventive maintenance, pump check procedures, and basic pump operations, including an understanding of friction loss, pumping capacities, static versus pressurized supply systems, and hydraulics. The student will also participate in various pumping scenarios to demonstrate competency in operating pumps.
Prerequisites: Driver/Operator All Vehicle, Firefighter I
Equipment needed: None

Course Name: Basic Pump Operations

Career Track: Firefighter

Description:Student will learn basic safety requirements, preventive maintenance, pump check procedures, and basic pump operations such as an understanding of friction loss, pumping capacities and static versus pressurized supply systems.  The student will also participate in various pumping scenarios.
Prerequisites: Firefighter I

Description: Student will learn basic safety requirements, preventive maintenance, safety check procedures, and basic aerial operations, including an understanding of apparatus placement, jacking requirements, and safety parameters. The student will also participate in various driving and aerial placement scenarios to demonstrate competency in aerial operations.
Prerequisites: Driver/Operator All Vehicle, Firefighter I
