Grant-Funded Arson Prevention Programs Available At No Charge To NH Emergency Responders
The New England States Consortium For Arson Prevention delivers three arson prevention programs at no charge to New Hampshire emergency responders.
Arson Awareness for the First Responder
Arson Awareness for the First Responder is a four-hour program designed to provide any firefighter, police officer, or other emergency responder with an awareness of arson-related issues. All New Hampshire firefighters should receive this first level of training which provides an excellent winter season training opportunity at no charge and taught by fire investigation professionals.
Fire Cause Determination for the Company Office
Fire Cause Determination for the Company Officer (FCDCO) is a 40-hour program designed to impart operational level training to company officers and senior firefighters in dealing with arson-related issues. Taught by fire investigation professionals at no charge to New Hampshire fire departments, FCDCO is the second level of training in a progressive series with Arson Awareness for the First Responder being a pre-requisite for attending this training. Program delivery formats may be designed to accommodate various schedules.
Initial Fire Investigation
Initial Fire Investigation (IFI) is a 40-hour program designed to be targeted to fire department officials with specific fire investigation responsibilities and has a screening process applied to all applicants. This is the third level of training in a progressive series with FCDCO being a pre-requisite for attending this training.
