The New Hampshire Fire Incident Reporting System (NHFIRS) is operated by the NH State Fire Marshal’s Office pursuant to the requirements set forth in RSA 153:11. Each fire department is required to submit its emergency incident data to the State Fire Marshal Office on a monthly basis. The e-mail address to submit your data is NHFIRS@dos.nh.gov.
NHFIRS is an integral part of the larger National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) operated by the US Fire Administration (USFA), part of the US Department of Homeland Security. Data submitted by local fire departments is captured by the NHFMO and sent up to the National Fire Data Center (NFDC) operated by the USFA.
NFIRS is a critical component in the USFA goal to "Fight Fires with Facts." In these days of shrinking budgets and increasing demands being placed upon the fire service, accurate information is essential to decision makers.
