Consumer Fireworks Safety Demonstration Set

Concord, NH – The NH State Fire Marshal's Office and the NH Association of Fire Chiefs have scheduled a news media demonstration of consumer fireworks safety in advance of the July 4th holiday.

The demonstration will include methods of safely handling consumer fireworks and safety tips.

It will be held at the State Fire Academy, off of Route 106 in Concord on Monday, July 2, at 2:30. Media representatives should meet at the Fire Academy building.

Location: NH Fire Academy - Aircraft Fire Fighting Training Site

  1. Welcome and remarks by: J. William Degnan, NH State Fire Marshal
    Chief Christopher LeClaire, Portsmouth, NH Fire Department, and President of the New Hampshire Association of Fire Chief's
  2. Table top examples of Permissible Consumer Fireworks
  3. Discussion on the state requirements for purchase, possession and use.
  4. Discussion on proper handling, use and safety tips.
  5. Permissible Firework demonstrations.
  6. Final remarks and questions.
