This section incorporates two programs relative to Buidling Construction. The programs and their descriptions are listed below. Click on the appropriate link to learn more about that program.
MODULAR BUILDING PROGRAM
This program covers the licensing of manufacturers and also the licensing of independent third party inspection agencies. Modular buildings are buildings of any type and/or size that are built in modules in a factory and then transported to the site. Modular Buildings are built to the same standards as stick built buildings and undergo a rigorous inspection frequency.
MANUFACTURED HOUSING PROGRAM
In jurisdictions where there is no local building official, the division is responsible for the inspection of the installation of Manufactured Houses to the state standard. Manufactured homes are also built at a factory but normally only come in one floor models and are always used for residential one-family homes.
HOTEL - MOTEL FIRE SAFETY ACT
The hotel-motel fire safety act was promulgated by the US Fire Administration part of FEMA. The act requires that anyone traveling on federally supplied funds must stay within a FEMA registered hotel or motel. The State of New Hampshire maintains the list of approved hotels. Property managers wishing to applied for approval status may do so on the USFA Hotel Fire Safety website. Travelers may also search for hotels on the list by going to the search properties page.
