HB39 was signed into law and it affects licensed plumbers and the Plumbers' Board by mandating a two year license renewal instead of once a year. The bill also authorizes the Board to write rules on how those whose plumbing careers are interrupted by military service renew their licenses. The Board is currently reviewing the statute changes and will be making announcements in the future about the implementation of these changes.
The Board would like to welcome our new full-time inspector Earl Middlemiss. He brings years of experience in the plumbing field. Welcome aboard Earl.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: On April 10, 2009, two plumbing-related code amendments were approved by the State of New Hampshire Building Code Review Board. A Water Treatment "trainee" who works under the direct supervision of a certified water treatment technician is, after one year, eligible to take the water treatment examination and if achieving a passing score, and paying a fee, be certified as a water treatment technician. For more details, application forms and information call the Plumbers' Board at 603-271-3267 or check out our Web site.
