In 2005, the NH Legislature passed legislation requiring that all manufactured homes be installed by licensed installers. The NH Manufactured Housing Installation Standards Board regulates and implements this program.

The NH Division of Fire Safety is charged with the responsibility of inspecting manufactured homes for compliance with the new installation standard only in those communities that do not have a building official.
