You should have received a letter from the NH Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program regarding the new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulation. This regulation requires you to distribute a copy of the pamphlet Protect Your Family From Lead In Your Home, to owners and occupants of pre-1978 homes before you begin any renovation activity. In addition you must also get a signed receipt that they have received this pamphlet.
