Non-US Citizen
Non-US Citizen Residing in NH

Residence Status

Provide Social Security Identification Card and ONE of the following:

  • Valid permanent resident card issued by the Bureau of Citizenship & Immigration Services (BCIS).
  • Valid I-94 departure card indicating refugee status.
  • Valid employment authorization card and proof of application for permanent residence status.

Driver License Status

  • Provide valid out-of-state driver license, or
  • Successfully complete and pass both a written and road test.

Residency

Provide ONE of the following, along with current address:

  • Valid vehicle registration.
  • Current gas bill in the applicant’s name.
  • Current electric bill in the applicant’s name.
  • Current water and sewer bill in the applicant’s name.
  • NH resident hunting and/or fishing license in the applicant’s name.
OR
  • Marriage certificate, civil union certificate or its equivalent and one of the above in the name of the spouse or civil union partner which is listed on the marriage certificate, civil union certificate or its equivalent.

You may apply for a driver license ONLY at the Concord office.
