Financial Responsibility

Financial Responsibility (FR) is most commonly referenced as the Suspension/Restoration Bureau. The Bureau of Financial Responsibility administers and enforces motor vehicle statutes that have a direct effect on an individual's driving record history and the status of license/operating and vehicle registration privileges. It is the central site for data gathered from all law enforcement agencies, District and Superior courts, and out-of-state motor vehicle registries. FR is responsible for receiving, processing, and maintaining records of all information entered into an individual's motor vehicle record.
