Emergency buses would be available if evacuation should be necessary for your community. If you need a ride, a bus would take you to your reception center.
| In East Kingston |
If you live in East Kingston and had not already told the Bureau of Emergency Management that you would need an emergency ride, you would call (603) 642-8406. (This is an emergency number only.) You would be given a ride to the reception center at the Memorial High School in Manchester. If you had already told Emergency Management that you would need a ride in case of emergency, emergency workers would contact you. If you still needed help, they would make sure you got a ride. |
| In Other Communities |
In all other communities, buses would pick up riders along special routes or at special pickup points. The EBS/EAS radio stations would tell you when buses would start running in your town. Announcements would be made when buses were about to stop running in each town. If you thought you had missed the last bus, you would call the Emergency Operations Center for your town (see page 1 of this brochure).
Turn to the bus route map for your community on the following pages. Find the route or pick-up point that is closest to your home. Mark the map where you catch the bus. Make sure everyone in your family knows where they can catch the bus.
