Joel Fisher is a licensed professional engineer specializing in structural engineering in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont. Mr. Fisher is well versed in the planning, design, and construction of new structures and additions. He also has extensive experience in the analysis of existing structures and has developed numerous designs for renovation and retrofit projects.
Mr. Fisher’s firm, Fisher Engineering, P.C. in Gilford, NH, provides structural engineering services for the design and construction of buildings and other structures. Project types include hospitals, retirement homes, public and private schools, university buildings, libraries, manufacturing facilities, scientific laboratories, municipal buildings and structures, military installations, commercial, and custom residential.
Mr. Fisher graduated from the University of Miami in 1984 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a B.S. in Architectural Engineering. He has co-authored papers on the development of snow loads in New Hampshire in conjunction with the U.S. Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory.
Joel is a member of the Structural Engineers of New Hampshire, and was the founding president from 1994 to 1997. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Institute of Steel Construction.
