The Commission does not intervene in the internal procedures of colleges and universities, but does, however, respond to complaints regarding allegations that raise significant questions about the school’s compliance with the Commission’s N.H. Code of Administrative Rules, Pos 1000 for colleges and universities, and Pos 1100 for career schools.
Written complaints and supporting documentation are reviewed accordingly.

Before submitting a complaint, we encourage students to try to reconcile any differences with the appropriate official(s) at the institution (college, university, career school, or training establishment) you are attending.
All complaints should be specific in describing the nature of the complaint and relevant information: the name of the parties involved, including witnesses, dates, the policy or procedure violated (if known), the course/program, the name of the institution, and contact information. In addition, please include any supporting material that substantiates your complaint.
When the complaint is received, it will be routed appropriately within the Commission. A review will be conducted to judge compliance with the appropriate laws and rules governing the college, university, or career school. In addition, if the complaint is applicable to a program that is approved for veterans, then compliance with the applicable Code of Federal Regulations shall be reviewed. A response will be provided to the complainant.
If the institution is accredited or licensed by another agency, the complainant has the right to send a copy of the complaint to that agency. |
