Colleges and Universities Seeking Incorporation

A NH state legislator (senator or representative) needs to sponsor a house bill or senate bill requested by the institution seeking approval.

Upon passage of the bill, including the governor’s signature, the new institution must file for incorporation with the Secretary of State.

It is recommended that an institution seeking incorporation in NH secure approval from the legislature and the Commission simultaneously.

Please see COLLEGE & UNIVERSITY APPROVAL PROCEDURES to complete the evaluation process.
