May Board Meeting
Schedule Change
The May
meeting of the Board is being held one week earlier
than the usual third Wednesday of the month due to a
scheduling conflict. The Board meeting will be
held on Wednesday, May 14,
2008 at 9:00 A.M.
Manufacturer / Wholesaler / Distributor & Limited
Retail Drug
Distributor Renewals To Be Mailed Out May 6, 2008
Renewals
for all currently licensed / registered
prescription drug/device manufacturers, wholesalers,
and distributors as well as all categories of
limited retail drug distributors
were mailed out on Tuesday, May 6, 2008.
New
Licensing Categories - Limited Retail Drugs
Distributors
There
are new licensing categories for some of the Board's
licensees. Distributors of medical gases and/or
prescription devices direct to the consumer are no
longer licensed under the category of Manufacturers /
Wholesalers / Distributors. They are now
licensed as Limited Retail Drug Distributors.
The Board now has 3 categories of Limited Retail Drug
Distributors and there annual licensing fees are as
follows:
- Limited Retail Drug
Distributor (Public Health Clinic) -
$150.
- Limited Retail Drug
Distributor (Methadone Maintenance / Detox
Facility) - $250.
- Limited Retail Drug
Distributor (Medical Gases and/or Prescription
Devices) - $150.
New
Licensing Fees For Non-Resident / Mail-Order
Pharmacies
The
Board granted final approval of rules regarding
initial and renewal registration
fees for all non-resident / mail-order pharmacies.
The new fees are:
- Initial
Registration Fee - $300.
- Annual
Renewal Fee - $250.
Pharmacy Technicians & Non-Resident / Mail-Order Pharmacies
Those technicians who have
not renewed for the April 1, 2008 - March 31, 2009
registration period may not work as a pharmacy
technician in New Hampshire
until they have completed the renewal process.
Likewise, any non-resident /
mail-order pharmacies not renewed for the
April 1, 2008 - March 31, 2009 registration
period may not ship prescription
drugs/devices to residents of New Hampshire until they
have completed the renewal process.
