CROSS-APPEALS FROM DECISION OF HEARING OFFICER

The Board, meeting at its offices in Concord, New Hampshire, on March 18, 1999, took the following actions:

1. It reviewed the Town's appeal from the decision of the hearing officer filed on February 9, 1999 relative to the animal control officer, the Union's appeal from the decision of the hearing officer filed February 9, 1999 relative to the police chief and the Town's answer thereto filed on February 24, 1999.

2. It examined the Union's Modification Petition filed July 21, 1998, the Town's objections thereto filed August 5, 1998, the Union's Modification Petition (police chief) filed August 7, 1998 to which no formal answer was filed prior to hearing.

3. It reviewed the Hearing Officer's decision (Decision No. 1998-107) dated January 7, 1999 which was the product of the two modification petitions being consolidated for hearing.

4. It DENIED both of the appeals from the decision of the hearing officer as filed by the Town and the Union, respectively.

So ordered
