Londonderry Custodial Employees,
Local 1801, A.F.S.C.M.E.

Complainant

v.

Londonderry School District

Respondent

Case No. A-0448-8
Decision No. 1998-031

JOINT MOTION TO CONTINUE

The Board, meeting at its offices in Concord, New Hampshire, on April 7, 1998, took the following actions:

1. It reviewed the Union's unfair labor practice (ULP) filed on February 25, 1998 which alleged refusal to bargain and breach of contract by the District when it made certain unilateral changes in vacation polices.

2. It reviewed the District's answer to the ULP filed on March 12, 1998.

3. It read and discussed the parties' joint letter to the Board received on April 3, 1998 which reported that the parties have agreed to meet and bargain over the impact of the proposal change and that:

The parties agree that they will conduct impact bargaining on the issues set forth in the within unfair labor practice charge.  That they will conduct their first bargaining session in April 1998 and will thereafter continue to meet at reasonable times and places until they have determined that the issues have been satisfactorily resolved or that they cannot be resolved and the matter will be re-referred to the PELRB for resolution of the ULP. The parties agree to advise the Board at least every sixty (60) days as to the status of negotiations. Upon the conclusion of negotiations, if the parties reach agreement, the ULP will be dismissed.  If the parties advise the Board that they have been unable to satisfactorily resolve the difference, the Board will place the ULP on its docket for hearing.

4. It reviewed the parties' stipulation, recited in Item 3, and adopted its contents in disposition of this case with the exception that if neither of the parties requests that this case be redocketed for hearing on or before October 7, 1998, it shall be administratively dismissed from the Board's docket of cases.

So ordered.

Signed this day of April, 1998.
