Lot Regulations/Lot Shape

If anyone wonders why we should be concerned with lot shape, I recommend that you get a copy of "Zoning News", November 2003 issue. Go to page 6 and you will see why regualtions should address lot shape (view image). I cannot verbally describe the configuration of lots in the proposed subdivision in Fairfax County, Virginia, (just to meet the zoning standards and maximize the number of lots). A picture is worth a thousand words.
