The NH Low-Income Weatherization Assistance Program has received funding from the US Department of Energy for over 30 years to service income-qualified households.

Weatherization is a process where an energy auditor performs a series of inspections and tests on a home and its appliances to determine if improvements can be made to save money on electric and fuel expenses. While weatherization is intended to reduce household energy expenditures, it can also provide for opportunity to increase health and safety conditions in a home.

Due to funding limitations, there is currently a higher demand for weatherization than can be currently met.
