2006 NH Floodplain Management Handbook

The Office of Energy and Planning is distributing the newest update of the "New Hampshire Floodplain Management Handbook" to communities in NH participating in the National Flood Insurance Program. New Hampshire has no system in place to track how much unneeded state-owned land could be sold, potentially losing out on a substantial revenue source.
Changes are on the way to remedy this.
The state’s Office of Energy and Planning is assembling a centralized database that will map all state-owned land and its various uses, from land under easement to "surplus land," or land that could be sold.
"We’re trying to find out what’s out there, how it’s restricted, what it’s used for. It seems like the right thing to do," said Amy Ignatius, executive director of the Office of Energy and Planning. more … |
