Change a Light Day
Change the World, One Light at a Time
October 4 is Change a Light Day
Through the Governor’s Energy Efficiency Initiative, New Hampshire State Government has made a commitment to do its part to save energy and help protect the environment. State employees can support this effort by joining the ENERGY STAR Change a Light, Change the World Campaign! State employees and all citizens are encouraged to take a Pledge to change one light at home to an Energy Star® rated light bulb. The pledge is a simple, but vital method of getting more people to commit to reducing greenhouse gases and saving energy resources, one light at a time. Even if you have already taken the pledge in the past, you can renew your pledge this year. The campaign runs throughout the fall, with a central rallying point on ENERGY STAR Change a Light Day, Wednesday, October 4, 2006.
To find rebate information and a list of retailers throughout NH who participate in the lighting rebate programs, visit the NHSaves web site.
Public service announcements suitable for radio broadcast are available for downloading and use in the Energy Star® 2006 Change a Light Campaign in each state. The announcements refer consumers who want more information about the campaign to the Energy Star Web site and to the appropriate state energy office.
We hope you will take the ENERGY STAR Change a Light Pledge today and help us reach our goal! It’s a small step that’s already making a big difference. |
