Office of Energy and Planning Hires New Planners

The NH Office of Energy and Planning has recently hired Sandrine Thibault as a Principal Planner in the Municipal and Regional Planning Assistance program and June Hammond Rowan as the Water Resource Planner/NFIP Coordinator.

Sandrine, a native of Quebec, Canada received her bachelor’s degree in urban planning from the University of Montreal and her Master’s in urban and regional planning from the University of New Orleans. During her graduate studies she took part in an exchange program on comparative urban planning and spent a semester in Guanajuato, Mexico.

Prior to joining OEP, Sandrine worked for the North Country Council working and managing local master plan updates, administering the Hazard Mitigation Planning program as well as providing technical assistance to local communities and participating on several other projects.

In October 2004, Sandrine joined the staff at the Office of Energy and Planning in the Municipal and Regional Planning Assistance program. Sandrine is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.

June Hammond Rowan is a NH native. She received her BA in Geography from the University of Chicago and her MA in Geography from the University of Colorado.

June has previously worked for the Appalachian Mountain Club as a Staff Scientist, a Forestry Technician for the US Forest Service, City Planner in Berlin, NH & most recently as the Community Planner in Plymouth, NH.

As Water Resources Planner, June will be working on the National Flood Insurance Program, shoreland protection, wetlands and other water related planning issues.
