State Energy Program

The Department of Energy's State Energy Program provides financial and technical assistance to states through formula and competitive grants.

"The energy offices in each state and territory are a vital resource for delivering energy benefits, addressing national energy goals, and coordinating energy-related emergency preparedness across the nation." [DOE]

Under New Hampshire's current formula SEP grant, OEP is able to participate in a number of programs in five areas:

New Hampshire also received $25 million of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding from 2009-2012, which was used to augment the formula SEP grant and implement new, innovative programs. For details on those programs and their outcomes, please contact OEP.
