The efforts undertaken as part of the Building Improvements program will result in direct energy efficiency improvements in both the public and private sector.
The Building Improvements program focuses on increasing energy conservation (EC) and energy efficiency (EE) in New Hampshire's building stock through the provision of technical assistance and energy education, including:
- State Energy Database (Energy Enterprise Management System); OEP staff help validate energy usage data entered for state buildings, and assist with training for agency data enterers.
- State Agency Energy Conservation Plans; OEP provides technical assistance to state agencies as they develop mandated energy conservation plans (see Executive Order 2011-1). OEP will continue to work with the State Energy Manager to report on progress in meeting energy conservation goals set by the Governor and legislature.
- High Performance Building Standard; OEP provides input to the annual update of the High Performance Building Standard for new and renovated state buildings.
- NH Building Energy Code Compliance; OEP will continue to provide support for the Building Code Compliance workgroup as they work to carry out the recommendations in the Energy Code Compliance Roadmap, developed with ARRA SEP funding.
