Process for Initiating Re-entry

Application for approval of a plan for APRN Re-entry must be submitted to the Board of Nursing before the applicant begins the program. The application is reviewed and approved by the APRN Liaison Committee of the Board of Nursing.

The application to begin an APRN Re-entry Plan includes

  • Applicant's resume
  • Beginning and projected end dates of the clinical precepted experience
  • Copy of current certification in specialty
  • For candidate who has never been licensed as an APRN in New Hampshire: Official transcript from the advanced practice nursing program from which the applicant graduated. Transcript must reflect education program that is consistent with the education requirements outlined in Administrative Rules 2002, Nur 304.02(b).
  • Name and description of the facility in which the clinical program will occur
  • Name of assigned clinical preceptor and copy of preceptor's license
  • Name of education facility
  • Name of faculty overseeing process
  • Projected education program
  • Re-entry clinical practice plan including
  • Beginning and projected end dates of the clinical precepted experience
  • Name and description of the facility in which the clinical program will occur
  • Name of assigned clinical preceptor and copy of preceptor's license
  • Re-entry education plan including
  • Name of education facility
  • Name of faculty overseeing process
  • Projected education program

The program must be completed within 18 months of receiving approval by the APRN Liaison Committee.
