Completion of the Re-entry Plan and Re-licensure

Upon completion of the APRN Re-entry Plan, the applicant must submit to the APRN Liaison Committee of the Board of Nursing the following documents

  • Completed application for APRN Licensure, including appropriate fee
  • Letter from the educational institution attesting to completion of the program indicating that the applicant's competencies are equal to or greater than the competencies of a current graduate of the program. [See Administrative Rules 2002, Nur 304.08 (a) (2)].

The applicant must also

  • If this is an initial license in the State of NH, complete Criminal Record Release Authorization Form following directions received from the Board

Following review of APRN license application by the Liaison Committee, recommendation for issuing a permanent license may be made to the Board of Nursing. License to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is processed following recommendation from the committee. Applicants may not practice in the APRN role until license is issued.
