DVS Home Videos

These Descriptive Videos have a specially-added narration that describes actions, backgrounds, and appearances. To enjoy them, you need only a regular VHS video cassette player (VCR) connected to a standard television set. No special or additional equipment is necessary.

Sorry - these videos are licensed for home viewing only. Not for group or class use.

These videos are available on free loan to readers in good standing with the NHSL Talking Book Service. Because of the limited collection, we lend no more than two videos at one time to any borrower.

Videos are sent by mail as Free Matter in special mailing containers, with extra rubber bands to secure them. If you need assistance opening or closing the containers, please call the library at 1-800-491-4200 during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Videos are loaned for One Month, door-to-door. The address card shows the shipping date at the upper left. Turn the address card over and put it back in the plastic sleeve on the container in order to return the video - the same method used to return the Talking Books.

Please allow 10 days mailing time when you return a video, and be sure to put at least two rubber bands around the mailing container.
