Title: Acquisitions Services Librarian, Dartmouth College Library, Hanover

Duties: Dartmouth College Library seeks an energetic and creative librarian to serve as Acquisitions Services Librarian. In the absence of the Head of Acquisitions Services, the Acquisitions Librarian acts as department head. The Acquisitions Librarian participates in the overall management of a 21-member, highly-technical acquisitions department that provides essential support for all collection development activities and an information resources budget of approximately 9 million dollars.

Qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS. A minimum of 3 years experience in an academic library. Demonstrated knowledge of library acquisitions and/or collection development operations, library automated systems and serials acquisitions (including electronic). Knowledge of statistics and spreadsheet applications. Supervision and/or training experience. Familiarity with budget and financial activities related to acquisitions and collection development. Knowledge of MARC format and cataloging.

Title: Assistant Librarian, Reference (Part-time position), NH Institute of Art, Manchester

Duties: 30 hours/week. Responsibilities include providing reference and circulation services, monitoring reserves and is responsible for the library in the absence of the Library Director. In collaboration with the Library Director manages part-time student assistants and is occasionally responsible for information literacy sessions. Develops tutorials, research guides, reference help used on web site and assists with the maintenance and development of the visual resources library. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Reports to the Director of the Library. Supervises and trains workstudy students. Interacts with staff, faculty, and students. MLIS or equivalent from an ALA- accredited Institution. Excellent communication skills and pleasant demeanor with experience in academic reference, and knowledge of electronic resources and instructional technology. Background in Art or Art History and experience with visual learners desired.

Title: Library Director. Magdalen College, Warner

Duties:

  • Directs all library operations.
  • Sets library policies and manages projects.
  • Prepares, administers and monitors library budget.
  • Markets the library, its resources and services.

Qualifications:   ALA accredited MLS degree with at least 2 years professional experience in an academic library setting; strong supervisory, administrative and leadership skills; experience with computers and other technologies in education and for administrative support.
