Title: Librarian Adjunct Faculty, Mason Library, Keene State College, Keene

Duties: The Mason Library at Keene State College is seeking two full-time non-benefited adjunct faculty librarians for the 2010 spring semester with responsibilities in reference and instruction. The individuals who fill these positions will participate in the rotating weeknight schedule and Sunday reference schedule that includes working Sundays up to two times during the semester. These positions have an anticipated start date no later than Tuesday, January 19, 2010 and end no later than Friday, May 7, 2010.

Qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS degree and experience in providing reference and instruction required. Preferred: Academic library experience.

Title: Library Associate, University of New Hampshire, Manchester

Duties: UNH Manchester, the university’s urban, commuter campus seeks a full time, benefited Library Associate to provide patron access service to faculty, staff, students, and the greater Manchester community members.  Responsibilities include direct oversight for the Reserves, Serials, and Records Maintenance functional areas, as well as participation on the reference team providing point-of-need reference service and formal instruction as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years library work experience.  Additional desirable qualifications include graduate coursework in library science strongly preferred; strong organizational and communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with the Millennium system and other library resources (electronic and print); excellent customer-service skills; and ability to maintain positive working relationship with all UNH Manchester community members.

Closing Date: November 20, 2009

Salary: Starting annual salary is not to begin above $43,820.  The finalist will be required to submit to a background check before commencing employment with the university.

Title: Part-Time Library Assistant - Circulation, Franklin Pierce University, Rindge

Duties: Franklin Pierce University Rindge Campus Library is seeking a part-time Library Assistant-Circulation. This part-time position involves working evenings and weekends; hours to be arranged with the Director of Library Services. Duties include a variety of library circulation paraprofessional and clerical services related to library circulation, interlibrary loan, audiovisual services, document delivery, and course reserves. Summer schedule will vary.

Qualifications: The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 1-2 year’s library experience preferred. A good general knowledge of library organization and systems with some previous circulation or public services experience desired. Must possess good clerical and supervisory skills, reading and basic math skills.
