Kids, Books and the Arts is an annual project done in conjunction with the New Hampshire Summer Reading Program. Each fall, a group of children's librarians selects 8-12 presenters to be included on the Kids, Books and the Arts Roster. In the spring, these Roster presenters perform at a showcase attended by NH librarians. The librarians can then apply for grants to bring the KBA Roster presenters to their communities during the Summer Reading Program.
Applications for the 2016 Kids, Books and the Arts grants are now open and are due Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the State Library by 4:00 pm. Librarians should read the application carefully and complete all parts before submitting the application and one copy by the deadline. Information about the presenters on the 2016 Kids, Books and the Arts Roster can be found in the document below called KBA 2016 online roster. Librarians applying for grants are strongly encouraged to attend the showcase of presenters at the CHILIS Spring Conference on Thursday, March 17 before submitting a grant application.
