Pops and Sunshine is a dramatic story of love and loss with the game of golf at the center. It is written by Dave Andrews, a Harvard-educated former television news reporter. Dave is an avid golfer who has become a fan of the Duramed FUTURES Tour. His home course, in New Hampshire, is annually the site of one of the tour's events. His inspiration for the novel came from meeting many of the young aspiring women golfers on the tour.

Turkey Farm: Behind the Smile is the story of a tragic murder of a mother with three children. One of the three children was also witness to the murder. This book recounts these terrible events, and how the author was able to overcome terrifying memories to be a happy healthy adult. The authors have been friends for more than 30 years. They started the book as a way for Jennifer Keefe to share her tragic story, but along the way the process become therapeutic for her.

Women of Granite is a book of 25 biographies of New Hampshire women geared toward readers aged 9-12, but can certainly be enjoyed by all ages. Janet Buell and the rest of the Write Sisters, Kathleen Deedy, Muriel L. Dubois, Diane Mayr, Andrea Murphy, Barbara Turner, and Sally Wilkins are all New Hampshire authors.

The life of Thomas P. Moses was an interesting one. He was born to a poor family, and as a teenager was sent to the Lancastrian School to become a servant. He eventually become a teaching assistant at the school which opened opportunities for him to continue learning and teaching. He first learned to play music: bugle, clarinet, flute, organ, and piano. He became a music teacher and organist, until a series of events led him to painting. This work is a biography written to accompany an exhibit that was displayed at the Portsmouth Athenaeum. Richard Candee is the author of several books about Portsmouth, N.H., and a resident.

This book is an introduction to stargazing. The author has presented the rudiments of observational astronomy with the hope that readers will find it entertaining as well as informative. Roger Ducharme lives in Goffstown, N.H. He maintains his website: www.nightskyalmanac.com where he describes the evening sky each night.

Garzina, Gretchen Holbrook. MR. AND MRS. PRINCE: HOW AN EXTRAORDINARY EIGHTEENTH-CENTURY FAMILY MOVED OUT OF SLAVERY AND INTO LEGEND. Amistad: New York, 2008.
Mr. and Mrs. Prince is a fascinating history of a pre-Civil War African-American family in New England, and their struggles to live the American dream. It explores a part of history that has previously been overlooked. Gretchen Holbrook Gerzina is an author of several books. She is currently the Kathe Tappe Vernon Professor in Biography at Dartmouth College where she also chairs the English Department.

This is a clever satire written for fun, and to bring attention to the continuous need to protect our wetlands and the creatures that inhabit it. Georgi Laurin Hippauf has written, edited, and co-authored three books with former New Hampshire Governor Hugh Gregg. Georgi co-hosted Talkline with Maury Parent for three years on Nashua local radio stations. Writing is her passion. She is an ardent conservationist. Diane has studied under a variety of noted artist and has been painting with watercolors for the past 30 years. Her works have been exhibited in many shops and galleries in the Nashua, N.H. area. She is a member of the Nashua Area Art Association and the RISE Art Group at Rivier College.

O'Conner, Marianne. HAUNTED HIKES OF NEW HAMPSHIRE. Publishing Works, Inc.: Exeter, 2008.
Haunted Hikes of New Hampshire is an informative paperback that details 30 trails around the state. Each of the 14 chapters includes how to get to a trail, how long it will take to hike it, where to park and what you may find there. O'Connor, who often goes on hikes with her two daughters, is a guidance counselor at Bicentennial Elementary School in Nashua who moonlights as an outdoors writer.

Charles V. Goodhue is a talented painter that captured cityscapes of Portsmouth on canvas with watercolors during the 1950s. This book was written to accompany an exhibit of his works at the Portsmouth Athenaeum by Peter Randall of the Randall Gallery.
