You've heard about it, now you can see it for yourself at Howe Library! Thanks to a gift from the Sunup Foundation, Howe Library patrons may check out and take home an Amazon Kindle wireless reading device, preloaded with 14 popular fiction and non-fiction titles. Kindles are compact, portable and have a sharp, easy to read screen that mimics paper. The purpose is to introduce patrons to this new technology by providing an opportunity to "play" with it.
One Kindle will remain at the library to be used in-house. Two Kindles will be available to check out for one week. The library staff is looking forward to hearing what our patrons think about the new way to read a book while traveling, or while at work or at home. |
