GMILCS, Inc., a consortium of 12 public and academic libraries in Southern New Hampshire, will migrate to Polaris ILS (Integrated Library System) at the end of August of this year. GMILCS has been running SirsiDynix Horizon since December 2002. The unanimous decision followed a year-long process of evaluating the needs and priorities of member libraries against the systems currently available. Criteria included functionality, purchase price and ongoing costs, ease and completeness of migration process, references from other libraries, system architecture, vendor stability and reputation, and quality of support. GMILCS, Inc. staff and member libraries are looking forward to working with Polaris Library Systems. The System has advanced functionality, a flexible and open architecture, and the company has a tremendous commitment to customer services.

The GMILCS, Inc. consortium serves the libraries of Amherst, Bedford, Derry, Goffstown, Hooksett, Manchester, Merrimack, Milford, Salem and Southern New Hampshire University, New England College and the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Check out our web site at www.gmilcs.org.
