ARTICLE EXPRESS

Article Express is a free service to New Hampshire libraries that speedily provides them with copies of select periodical articles. The N.H. State Library attempts to provide same day delivery of articles from periodicals supported by this service. Libraries may e-mail or fax their requests for articles to the State Library and State Library staff will locate the article(s) as quickly as possible and e-mail or fax them back to the requesting library.

The State Library maintains an Article Express website at www.nh.gov/nhsl/services/librarians/aexpress. Librarians may fill out an electronic request form at that site which will then be directed to our interlibrary loan staff. Librarians may also send direct e-mails to our ILL staff at nhslill@dcr.nh.gov, fax the Article Express request form to 271-2205, or telephone the request to 271-2616.

Most importantly, librarians should check our Article Express Periodical List for the current list of eligible periodicals. If you find your periodical (for the relevant dates) on the list, then we should be able to provide same day or next day turnaround service. This periodical list, maintained by the company Serials Solutions, contains all periodicals subscribed to (or formerly subscribed to) by the N.H. State Library. This list includes journals available to all libraries through the State Library's NHewLink subscriptions. The list also includes other subscription databases available only to the State Library, and our extensive collection of periodical subscriptions in print format.

Please visit our Article Express website and familiarize yourself with this service. If you do not find the periodical title you are seeking on the list, you may contact the State Library reference staff (271-2144) for further assistance. There are some titles that did not yet make it onto the online list, especially older non-electronic titles. Also, if we cannot provide you with a copy of an article via Article Express, we may be able to help you find another library with the title.
