TUCKER FREE LIBRARY ANNOUNCES THE WALTER K. ROBINSON MEMORIAL CLASSICS COLLECTION

The Board of Trustees of the Tucker Free Library announces the formation of the Walter K. Robinson Memorial Classic Collection. This collection of quality literature is being seed funded by the very generous donation the library received from Walter shortly after his death in May. Robinson served on the Board of Trustees of the Tucker Free Library from March 2006 until he resigned for health reasons in February.

As news of the Robinson Classics Collection has become known, additional money has been received from community members to honor Walter's memory. These supplemental funds will provide for a significant number of classics to be purchased for the new collection as well.

The Board of Trustees of the Tucker Free Library believes this new classics collection to be a fitting tribute to a man whose life epitomized a quest for knowledge and love of books. "The Robinson Memorial Classics Collection will be a lasting gift to our community, one that continues to grow over the years," commented Board Chair Terry Simkin.

A special reception will be held at the Tucker Free Library later this year to unveil the Classics Collection and to present it to Walter's wife, Angela, and the Henniker community.

The Tucker Free Library is located at 31 Western Avenue in Henniker. Hours of operation are Monday, 10-7, Tuesday and Friday 10-5, Wednesday 10-5 and 7-9, and Saturday from 9-1.
