LIBRARIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD

The New Hampshire Library Trustees Association presented the Librarian of the Year Award to Margaret Marschner, Director of the Conway Public Library. Family, friends, co-workers and supporters gathered at the library for a special reception and ceremony on June 7th, 2007 to celebrate Marschner's receiving the award. The event included speakers who had worked with Marschner over the course of her nearly 37 year career at the library.

A plaque and words of congratulations from the NHLTA were presented by Association officers Lillian Edelmann, President, Elisabeth Ives, Director, and Tom Wallace, Treasurer. A commendation from Governor Lynch was read by Michael York, State Librarian, who also spoke of how Marschner is respected for her work on the state level as well as in her community.
