Barrington - Local activities for the Barrington Public Library begin April 25th with a showing from 6:30-7:30 p.m. of the film Out of Balance: ExxonMobil's Impact on Climate Change by Tom Jackson, local filmmaker. Event to be held in the Barrington Town Hall Meeting Room next door to the library (41 Province Lane). Everyone is welcomed to attend.
May 31st at 6:30 p.m. - join us for Ladies Night Out Poems & Stories for Women, a night of humor with Joann Snow Duncanson. Event will be held in the library meeting room, non-residents are welcomed.
June 28th at 6:30 p.m. - join us for Rebecca Rule's Better Than a Poke in the Eye, a night of Yankee humor provided by a New Hampshire Humanities Council Grant, everyone is welcomed! Recommended (not required) reading before the event is Could Have Been Worse, a short story collection by Rebecca Rule.

Brookline - Children's Poetry in the Library Day, Saturday, April 14th, 10:30-12:00 & 12:30-2:00. Children in grades 2 through 6 are invited to the Brookline Public Library to join local poets, Rick Agran and Sid Hall, for a lively and fun poetry event just for kids. Participants will listen to poetry and be encouraged to try some verse writing of their own. Brookline joins 40 New Hampshire libraries participating in the statewide event during National Poetry month. The inaugural program was created by Patricia Fargnoli, New Hampshire poet laureate. Celebrate Earth Day - Join the Brookline Public Library in celebrating Earth Day with local Wampanoag elder, Medicine Story!. On Tuesday, April 17th at 7:00 p.m., Medicine Story will present Indian stories telling how people can learn from native people about healing the earth. Featured stories will include The Praying Flute, during which he will play the flute. Suitable for all ages. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library and the Brookline Lions Club. Learn to Design Butterfly Gardens - One May 17th at 7:00 p.m., Jodie Gilson, of J. Gilson Greenhouses, Inc., Groton, MA, will present a program on designing gardens and selecting plants to attract butterflies to your landscapes. Gilson will provide examples of live plants. Hillsboro - The Fuller Public Library is pleased to announce they have received funding from the N.H. Humanities Council for a book discussion series called Yankee Crime. Since mysteries are the favorite genre in our library, the stories in this series are contemporary mysteries set in New England and written by New England authors. On April 26th, discussion of Flashpoint by Linda Barnes will be held by independent scholar Clia Goodwin. We are excited to have award-winning author Brendan DuBois coming to the library on May 17th
to lead the discussion of his book Primary Storm. William Stroup of Keene State College will lead the discussion of Bellows Falls by Archer Mayor on June 7th. All discussions will be held in the Community Hall located directly behind the library and will run from 7:00-9:00 p.m. We hope you will encourage your mystery-loving patrons to attend! Sanbornton - "The Sanbornton Public Library is pleased to welcome Cab Vinton as its new Director. Cab has been serving as Interim Director for the past several months, after serving on the Board of Trustees for a year. He received his Bachelor's degree in the Comparative Study of World Religions from Harvard University in 1988 and his M.L.S. from San Jose State University in 1992. He also comes to us with a background in reference librarianship at several universities around the country. We are all looking forward to an exciting period of growth and renewal for the library during his tenure."
